Skilled mechanics, technicians and journeymen
We are an independent truck and trailer repair shop in Vancouver, WA, looking for dedicated journeyman mechanics with a minimum of two years of experience who are able to work on trucks and trailers, performing everything from services to engine work.
Anyone skilled in general mechanics is encouraged to apply, but higher pay is offered to those with proven knowledge and experience. Reliable, detail-oriented mechanics who produce top-quality service and repair work that creates satisfied customers can expect to earn top dollar. Pay is negotiable and based on experience and performance.
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and vehicles
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on diesel equipment
- Repair or replace faulty parts and components
- Perform welding, soldering, etc
- Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and answering questions
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or similar role
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and vehicle systems
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Good communication skills to interact with customers and team members
